Albert Chavez, a registered California Architect, founded Albert Division (AD) in 2015 as an architecture studio dedicated to the use of innovation through fabrication and progressive design. A native Angeleno, Albert has worked on a broad range of project types and scales. He is determined to use the most advanced techniques in digital modeling and fabrication and applies his various skills, expertise, and knowledge of construction and project delivery across different mediums and platforms to orchestrate a holistic design that embodies his vision and mastery. 

Albert has demonstrated his various expertise through his time and work as a project manager and technical director at Tighe Architecture alongside Patrick Tighe FAIA, and as a designer with the Oyler Wu Collaborative alongside Dwayne Oyler and Jenny Wu. Projects that he has worked on have gained national recognition through various publications and awards, including local and national AIA honors. He has had experience on several project types including Multi-Family Residential, Mixed-Use, Commercial Retail, Interior Architecture, Skyscrapers, Co-Living, and Single Family Residences. Albert received his Bachelor of Architecture from Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-arc) graduating with distinction.

Rachael McCall
Lead Designer

 

Rachael McCall is a lead designer for Albert Division. Originally from Australia, Rachael completed her Master of Architecture II with distinction at SCI-Arc, where her thesis Frayed and Polished was awarded the Gehry Prize for Best Graduate Thesis. As well as her thesis success, Rachael was the graduate winner of the 2015 American Institute of Architect’s Henry Adams Certificate for academic merit.

Rachael has achieved a level of mastery across several different project types including Education, Healthcare, Stadiums, Retail, Interior Architecture, and Single Family Residence from her work experience as a Designer at Fulton Trotter Architects, Walter P. Moore Engineers, HDA-X, and Florencia Pita & Co.

Rachael also holds a professional Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Design Studies from the University of Queensland Australia, where she received several honors including the Board of Architects Queensland Prize, an Australian Institute of Architects Medallion, and the Cox Rayner Architects Prize.

Rachael’s work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, Australia, Greece, Sweden, The Netherlands, and Japan, and published in Italy, Australia, and the United Kingdom. She has worked professionally in both Los Angeles and Brisbane, Australia.
